Through a trial and error process of adding components and altering the internal circuitry of a 1985 Coleco Talking Teacher, this device is now able to create sounds the original product was not intended to produce. The vocal sounds that came from the original device are now able to be warped in strange ways opening the device up to new sonic opportunities.

The process of altering the circuit board starts with carefully connecting two points with wires and listening for changes to the sound. Points that produce interesting effects are marked and soldered to different components such as potentiometers and switches. The original device had a large gap on the left side that acted as a handle. This gap was covered with small, stained, wooden panels and used to house the majority of the added components.
